The Journal was founded in 2018. Frequency - 4 times a year.

The Journal is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Media (ЕL № FS 77 - 71999 on December 29, 2017) and the ISSN International center (no. 2658-7912). Information about articles published in the journal is regularly entered in the database of the information and analytical system "Russian science citation index" (RSCI).

Based on the recommendations of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission, by Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 467-r dated December 8, 2021 "On inclusion in the list of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences" should be published, the publication "Agricultural and Lifestock Technology" is included in the List of the Higher Attestation Commission for the following scientific specialties and their corresponding branches of science for which academic degrees are awarded:

4.1.1. General agriculture and crop production (agricultural sciences),

4.2.4. Private animal husbandry, feeding, technologies of feed preparation and production of animal products (agricultural sciences),

4.2.4. Private animal husbandry, feeding, technologies of feed preparation and production of animal products (biological sciences),

4.2.5. Breeding, breeding, genetics and biotechnology of animals (agricultural sciences),

4.2.5. Breeding, breeding, genetics and biotechnology of animals (biological sciences).

Also, the journal accepts articles on a scientific specialty for publication:

4.3.1. Technologies, machinery and equipment for the agro-industrial complex

The main purpose of the journal is to provide a wide range of scientific community and practitioners with the opportunity to get acquainted with the results of scientific research in the field of agricultural Sciences, to participate in the discussion of issues.

The journal aims to summarize and discuss scientific theoretical and practical achievements in the field of agriculture, promising fundamental and applied research of priority high-tech technologies in the agro-industrial complex.

The scientific concept of the publication is to publish modern and promising achievements of agriculture.

An important feature, in addition to the practical focus of the journal's subject, is the focus on publishing research results not only by reputable scientists, but also by young professionals, postgraduates and degree applicants.

The editorial staff of the journal Agricultural and Livestock Technology includes 32 Russian scientists and 2 scientists from Belarus, of which 1 corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 1 academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 1 corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, including 22 doctors of sciences and 12 candidates of sciences.

The expressed opinions and statements in the articles cannot coincide with the Editorial Staff’s point of view. The authors of publications bear responsibility for selection and treatment of materials. Copying of materials from the site of the Journal is acceptable only with the approval of the Editorial Staff.
